What you agree to when you use Sentry View

Short, and written to be read. What an account is, what the trial and the membership include, how payment works, and what the information may and may not be used for.

Who the parties are, and acceptance

Sentry View is operated by Sentry UAV NSCE SpA (Chilean tax ID 77.779.577-5), a company registered in Chile. Throughout these terms, “we” means that operator, and “you” means the person who creates an account or uses the platform. The single contact address for everything in this document is gerencia@sentryuav.app.

By creating an account or using the platform you accept these terms, together with the data terms and the privacy policy, which form part of them. If you do not agree, do not create an account.

Your account

• One person per account. Sharing access credentials, or using one individual account for several people, is not allowed. If your organisation needs several seats, each person needs their own account.
• You must be 16 or older. The platform is not aimed at people under 16 and accounts are not knowingly created for them. If we find one, it is removed.
• Your email address must be real and reachable: it is how we confirm payments, notify membership expiry and answer your requests.
• You are responsible for what is done with your account. Keep your password to yourself. If you suspect someone else is using it, write to us.
• Accounts created to abuse the platform — automated sign-ups, repeated trials, extraction of the dataset — may be closed without notice.

You can close your account, and have its data deleted, at any time by writing from the account’s email address. The details are in the privacy policy.

Free trial

Every new account starts with a 5-day free trial. No card is required and nothing is charged. During the trial the account has the Viewer role: the map and recent public reports, with an approximate location that is rounded on the server before it reaches your browser.

The trial does not include the complete history, the exact location of reports, member maps and operational layers, risk zones and critical infrastructure, or public evidence. When the 5 days end, the account stops receiving data until a membership is activated. Nothing is charged at that point, and nothing happens to your account: it simply waits.

Membership, payment and currency

Membership gives full access to the platform — Haiti and the African regions — for the person who holds the account. The reference price is US$18 per 30 days of access.

Payment is processed by Flow, a payment processor based in Chile, from the “My account” section. Sentry View never receives or stores card data. The currency of the charge is set by the Flow configuration, so the charge may appear in Chilean pesos at the exchange rate of the day; US$18 is the reference value.

Once Flow confirms the payment, your account becomes a Member automatically. That confirmation usually arrives within minutes, but it can take a few hours. If a day passes and your access has not been activated, write to us with the order reference.

Invitation codes also exist. A code is redeemed from “My account” and grants membership without payment; who receives one is decided by the operator.

Renewal, cancellation and refunds

Each confirmed payment grants or extends 30 days of access. There is no automatic renewal and no recurring charge: the platform does not store a payment method and cannot charge you again on its own. When the 30 days end, access to member content stops and you can pay for another 30 days whenever you choose. Paying before the current period ends adds 30 days to the date you already had, so you lose nothing by paying early.

Because nothing renews on its own, there is nothing to cancel. If you do not want to continue, simply do not pay again. You can also ask for the account to be closed.

On refunds: if a payment was confirmed and access was not activated, we correct the activation or refund the payment. Any other request is assessed case by case; write to gerencia@sentryuav.app with the order reference and a short explanation.

Permitted and prohibited use of the information

Access is for the internal use of the person or organisation that holds it. You may consult and analyse the information, use it to make your own operational decisions, and cite a specific record stating the source, the date of access and its declared confidence level. The full detail is in the data terms.

Some uses run against the purpose of the project and are expressly prohibited:

• Using the information to locate, single out or endanger people or groups.
• Redistributing, republishing or reselling the content, in whole or in part, or building a derivative product or service from it.
• Systematic extraction of the dataset, by automated or manual means.
• Presenting “unverified” records as confirmed facts, or reusing records without their date so that expired information looks current.
• Implying that Sentry View endorses a conclusion, a product or an organisation.
• Interfering with the platform, its access controls or its infrastructure.

A breach of this section is grounds for closing the account without refund of the current period.

Limits of our responsibility

• There is no guarantee of coverage. The absence of a report on the map does not mean nothing happened: it means nothing reached us, or nothing has been logged yet. Coverage is uneven, and the methodology explains why.
• Every record carries a confidence level and, where it applies, an expiry. “Unverified” is the default. An expired assessment is still visible but no longer counts as verified.
• The platform is provided as it is. It is run by a small team and may be unavailable, incomplete or wrong at any given moment. We do our best to fix errors when they are reported; we do not promise that the platform is free of them.
• Decisions are yours. To the extent the applicable law allows, we are not liable for decisions taken, or not taken, on the basis of information found on the platform, nor for losses that follow from them.
• Third-party services — map tiles, hosting, authentication, payment — are subject to their own terms and may fail independently of us.

Ownership of the content

Content produced by Sentry View — territorial assessments, operational layers, confidence classifications, regional context and first-hand observation — is proprietary material. A membership grants personal, non-transferable access; it is not a licence to redistribute, republish or resell. Headlines, third-party photographs and base cartography keep the rights of whoever produced them. How to cite a record, and what applies to content published before 31 August 2026, is set out in the data terms.

Privacy

What we hold about you, why, who can see it and how to have it corrected or deleted is described in the privacy policy. In short: your email address, an approximate location from the moment you register and technical details about your connection. We do not store your IP address, we do not use your device’s GPS, there is no advertising, no third-party analytics, and we sell nothing.

Changes and contact

These terms may change. Any change is published on this page, with the date of the last update shown at the top. Continuing to use the platform after a change means you accept it; if you do not, you can close your account.

Applicable law

These terms are governed by the laws of Chile, and any dispute arising from them is subject to the jurisdiction of the Chilean courts, without prejudice to any protection the law of your own country grants you as a consumer and that cannot be waived.

These terms will be reviewed by legal counsel; the version published here is the one in force.
